Sewing ClassesSewing Classes If you wish to attend sewing classes you must register at least a week before the class takes place. Space is limited so call as soon as possible (337-4933). If there is a class listed but not scheduled, please, call us and let us know that you are interested so that we can schedule one. Classes are usually Friday mornings, start times vary but somewhere between 9am-10am and end at noon. If you can not attend Friday mornings, call and we will see if we can fit you at some other time. You bring in your own machine for lessons. Since all machines are different, it is better to learn on your own machine. You must come in and pick out your fabrics before the day of the class (which means your project may use different fabrics that the sample pictures). Class fee starts at $10. Longer classes may be a little more. List of Sewing Classes: (* means there is a sample picture below)
We did not plan on scheduling classes during the summer, since everyone is always so busy. But, do to popular demand we do have a few Open Sews scheduled.
Our sewing instructor is Lil Ryckman-Benson. Lil has been teaching sewing and creative machine arts for 26 years, with a background in Secondary Education from Northern Michigan University. She worked in sewing machine dealerships for 20 year and is happy to share any aspect of sewing from clothing to new machine use, especially sergers, and all forms of creative sewing.
